It is not important where you live or how old you are, maybe it is difficult for you to get to hear Spanish… Don’t worry.

The first thing you have to do is to ask yourself why do you want to learn it. ¿ Por qué quiero aprender español???? Maybe ¿Un viaje/ A trip? ¿Una asignatura/A school subject? ¿Una nueva aventura de aprendizaje/A new learning adventure? ¿Para mejorar mis perspectivas de trabajo/ in order to improve my working opportunities? ¿Mi trabajo me obliga a saber español/My job description presumes my knowledge of Spanish?

Once you are convinced that you are for it that you want to learn Spanish, half the work is done.

Our will to do well is our force, the drive that will take us anywhere. If you believe that you can do it, you will do it.

Why Spanish? What a question, here is a list of countries where you can speak Spanish in the world:

España, Colombia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Cuba, Puerto Rico... I

f you look at a world map, nearly all of the countries south of the USA speak Spanish, most of them as a first language.

Brasil, whose first language is not Spanish, wants to establish Spanish as a second language as it is widely spoken there…

Did we say south of the USA??? Excuse me!!! Have you heard of the Spanglish??????? Never??? It is a new language and it is even taught at university. Where does it come from? As Spanish is widely spoken in the USA, in some environments people mix Spanish and English and there you are, Spanglish is born…. This means that in many places in the States you can also communicate and understand what is going on ONLY if you know Spanish.

Spanish is the third most spoken language in the world!!! Imagine how many people with who you can communicate only in Spanish!!! Some people have even changed their lives and have moved to one of those countries, for work, for love, to do voluntary work….

Other people go there on holidays and can manage all their everyday tasks by themselves. What a success!

Not to talk about all those people who had managed to get a job just because they had this knowledge of a second, even a third language.

Yes it is contagious, when you learn the second language, you know that it is not as difficult as you thought and then you realise that you can go for it and learn again another language. your only problem now is this: What language shall I learn now? But this is another matter...
